In this mode, every so often you will be given an item block. Some are positive, some are negative, some are context-dependent, and some literally do nothing (because there is no second player to swap the board with). Things in this mode do get pretty random, cause one run you can get a lot of nice, calm things with minor effects on actual gameplay, and other times you can get Shotgun (adds stupid amount of holes into your stack) followed by Nega Field (replaces holes with blocks and blocks with holes for every line of your field) leaving you to just pray for some line clearing effect or Cascade.

That being said, you can often pick what you want to get - the items spawn often enough that you can relatively easily have two of them on the board, and when you activate one of them, the other one will disappear. For example, you can skip getting a Death Block (big piece) by waiting till the next item, which may for example be Boost Fire (forces max gravity for a few pieces). Granted, sometimes it does make for some very awkward stacking, but it is a very useful tool to keep your stack clean.

And when it comes to keeping your stack clean - well, you still have to clear tetrises to get the necessary score for the GM grade. The grading system in Master-#G1 is roughly based on the TGM1's grading system - however it is rebalanced for back to backs, hold, and three previews, forcing you to push stack cleanliness more than you would initially expect.</video:description><video:content_loc>https://tv.kobold-cave.eu/static/streaming-playlists/hls/aa119f1a-8f1a-405e-b184-1cafa7c5a182/5e2c6aae-aa65-4167-b434-fbc6e044dc06-master.m3u8</video:content_loc><video:player_loc>https://tv.kobold-cave.eu/videos/embed/n13LUhEqZaqVDUJF4HYvX9</video:player_loc><video:duration>838</video:duration><video:rating>0</video:rating><video:view_count>9</video:view_count><video:publication_date>2025-04-21T09:50:15.492Z</video:publication_date><video:tag>gaming</video:tag><video:tag>tetris</video:tag><video:tag>heboris</video:tag><video:family_friendly>YES</video:family_friendly><video:uploader info="https://tv.kobold-cave.eu/c/videos/videos">Kobold Videos</video:uploader><video:live>NO</video:live></video:video></url><url><loc>https://tv.kobold-cave.eu/w/omJ7Gf1JQ6BbVDh8AeVH3m</loc><video:video><video:thumbnail_loc>https://tv.kobold-cave.eu/lazy-static/thumbnails/fe1286bc-cc18-4937-9a4d-81082c28841a.jpg</video:thumbnail_loc><video:title>Heboris | Master-#G2 - Ti-World - GM 7:47.63</video:title><video:description>Finally the M-roll didn't destroy me.

This mode is basically a copy of the TGM2's Master mode except adjusted and with arguably easier grading. There are two midgame checks for GM requirements that I don't know the details of (and I don't really want to dive into the source code to figure them out), and there is of course the final requirement at the level 999 - you need to get there in under 8min 15s and you need to get an M grade. I think there are also some tetris requirements involved too, but if you are able to get there like this they probably should be irrelevant.

Compared to Master-#G3 the grading is easier - you can reach that M grade in #G2 with a performance that would net you just S8 in #G3. On the other hand, you need to clear 20 lines during the invis roll to get that GM grade in #G2, while for #G3 you only need 15 lines.</video:description><video:content_loc>https://tv.kobold-cave.eu/static/streaming-playlists/hls/b50de166-131d-4a59-ab46-4c4063aab964/b720bad7-e742-40ca-b992-ad0c7f436540-master.m3u8</video:content_loc><video:player_loc>https://tv.kobold-cave.eu/videos/embed/omJ7Gf1JQ6BbVDh8AeVH3m</video:player_loc><video:duration>578</video:duration><video:rating>0</video:rating><video:view_count>9</video:view_count><video:publication_date>2025-07-16T20:18:55.470Z</video:publication_date><video:tag>gaming</video:tag><video:tag>heboris</video:tag><video:tag>tetris</video:tag><video:family_friendly>YES</video:family_friendly><video:uploader info="https://tv.kobold-cave.eu/c/videos/videos">Kobold Videos</video:uploader><video:live>NO</video:live></video:video></url><url><loc>https://tv.kobold-cave.eu/c/videos/videos</loc></url><url><loc>https://tv.kobold-cave.eu/a/makiki/video-channels</loc></url></urlset>
